Hamburg, 15.03.2022 – The Hamburg-based fintech collectAI and the Otto Group’s payment development company (OTTO Payment Entwicklungsgesellschaft – PEG) are cooperating. collectAI will become the exclusive PEG partner and take over the complete payment communication for the OTTO marketplace as well as for other Otto Group companies. The cooperation will be successively expanded until 2026 and covers all payments for purchases made by customers via the marketplace.
In addition, the cooperation includes the transactional payment communication of PEG with the marketplace partners. Both companies are connected via an API interface.
The basis for the individual customer approach is a comprehensive communication strategy. This covers the entire payment process, from the reminder to pay the invoice to the transfer of open cases to debt collection. In several steps, customers are reminded of outstanding payments by email or letter in OTTO PEG branding. Artificial intelligence controls the timing and channel of the customer contact. The aim of the holistic process is to make payment as pleasant as possible for customers.
